Abstract

The development of an organization in an unstable environment implies the need for a competent choice of strategic development priorities. A variety of alternative options make choice difficult. The use of conventional scientific traditional methods of choosing strategic alternatives is a prerequisite, nevertheless, the development and application in practice of a unified methodology for choosing strategic priorities will allow a more effective management decision regarding the strategic development of the organization in a shorter time frame, which will provide a competitive advantage in the future. The purpose of the scientific work is to develop scientific and practical recommendations on the development of methods for choosing strategic priorities for the development of the organization. The authors substantiated the methodology for choosing strategic priorities for the development of the organization, based on the dual use of the matrix tools of strategic management (building the matrix “industry attractiveness - competitiveness”), expert assessment methods (Delphi method), multi-criteria selection method (Churchman-Ackoff) taking into account the action of the “Pareto principle”. The proposed methodology for the selection of strategic priorities of the organization was tested on the example of a specific company and proved its universal character.
