Abstract
Studies of surface potential and the equilibrium pressure dependence on the population of hydrogen adspecies adsorbed on surfaces of transition metal hydrides revealed the existence of the two states of the adsorbate: the atomic, positively polarized adspecies β + and the molecular, positively polarized adspecies α +. The characteristics of this adsorption are presented.
