Abstract
Abstract Eight species of eriopterine craneflies described by Brunetti under the genera Molophilus Curtis, Erioptera Meigen, Styringomyia Loew, Conithorax Brunetti and Toxorhina Loew are reexamined and illustrated wherever possible, their affinities discussed and correct generic positions assigned. It is found that Molophilus (Molophilus) kempi Alexander is a synonym of M. (M.) assamensis Brunetti.
