Abstract

This response explores some of the themes identified by the four interlocutors in the symposium on my book The Asian Gang Revisited. In particular, the piece reflects on the role and limitations of the research as ethnographic practice, and on three key issues identified in the review pieces: around space (and time), structure and agency; and “being/becoming Muslim”.
