Abstract
Immigration and resettlement are processes which usually coincide with changes in the economic, social and cultural characteristics of the migrants. These changes may be drastic among involuntary migrants, in particular refugees and other groups displaced by force. This aricle deals with the process of displacement, movement and settlement of the Arab internal refugees in Israel and the patterns of their adjustment. The findings indicate that the Arab internal refugees are a dynamic group, posing potential and actual conflict as a result of their complex status, being ‘the minority within the minority’.
