Abstract

Objective To research the effect of nurse -led care model on hospitalized patients with diabetes.Methods A total of 80 diabetic patients who admitted to our department during August 2013 to December 2013 were divided into two groups according to random-ized controlling principles , each group had 40 cases.The control group was received traditional doctor -ledcare;while the experimental group was underwent nurse -led care, in accordance with a unifiedprocedure with comprehensive and continuous care.Before the patient was dis-charged, their glycemic control situation , self-management skills and quality of life were assessed and compared.Results The self-care capacity and quality of life of the experimental group were better than those of control group , ( P〈0.05 ) .Conclusions Nurse-led care model does very well in glycemic control , self-care ability nurturing and life quality promotion , it is definitely worth promoting.
