The Application of Modern TRIZ in the Analysis of Patent Defense of Functional Pot with Vertical Cover
How to defend the patent application effectively is not only the responsibility of the patent agency, but also requires the cooperation and active recognition of its applicant and its inventor, for which there will be a greater chance of winning the defense. Since last August, the theories of the Strengthening and Regeneration of Systematic Patent Avoidance[1] that belongs to modern TRIZ, written by Xu Dongliang, a professor from National Tsinghua University, TRIZ’ s Golden Key to Innovation [2] ,written by Sun Yongwei and other theoretical methods, were introduced to us, we attempt to apply functional analysis, functional attribute analysis, patent avoidance, patent reduction, and hierarchy view to the process of defense analysis. Therefore, it's believed that such methods play better guiding roles in the analysis of patent application defense and defense statement, improve the chance to win the defense, and help to get the patent grant, so it's worth a bold try.

How to improve the efficiency of R & D projects and build a systematic innovation management process has become one of the important survival strategies of enterprises under the influence of the new product development project under the pressure of the product listing. The systematic thinking model has always been an important concept advocated by the TRIZ theory and is one of the advantages favored by many scholars. Therefore, the import of the TRIZ method should be effective in the management of the development project process. In order to apply the engineering parameters constructed in the TRIZ theory to the field of non-technology guidance, some parameters and the application areas need to be relevant and defined before they can be used. Therefore, this study is based on D. Mann's three 11 management parameters and forty management innovation based on the principle of management from the nature of the product development project to explore the process, with a single management characteristics of the generic product development process for the various stages of analysis, summarized for the management and development Project management principles, to construct project management aids to provide advice to help project managers to effectively solve the problem of project management experience. — In today’s business world, it is obligatory to produce or closely follow and apply the technological and scientific developments in order to survive in a highly competitive environment by establishing productive, efficient and profitable businesses and to keep abreast of the rapid changes of the needs. In this paper, TRIZ’s (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) difference, which occurred with the possession of inventive problem solving philosophy and the provision of the possibility to use extensive knowledge base, is explained. The systematic approach of TRIZ is essentially emphasized in detail. Brief explanations of other problem solving methods are also presented in order to provide a benchmark to reveal the strong and weak characteristics of TRIZ among the other methods. The possibility of using TRIZ together with other problem solving techniques, instead of using the method as a single solution provider, is discussed in the paper

This study implements TRIZ to propose innovative approaches for resolving conflicts in smart-phone R&D project management. The conflicts-resolving approaches are proposed in planning phase, the detailed planning includes scheduling planning, budget planning, risk planning, procurement planning, bidding planning, quality assurance planning, communication planning, configuration planning, system planning, manufacturing planning, training planning and safety planning. As general, conflicts may happen in execution phase, the team members know but ignore that in planning phase under the time pressure. Much more time-consuming in execution phase usually result in schedule delay or over-budget since resolving conflicts requires more time. The unhappy experience may repeat in next project due to the lack of pre-resolving conflict in planning phase. TRIZ has been well-known as a creative thinking theory in solving engineering contradictions in the last two decades. However, few studies and practical usage were proposed systematically in management area. This study introduces 39 TRIZ management parameters for approaching the meanings of original 39 TRIZ engineering parameters, broadening the TRIZ applications in management areas as well. Based on the existing knowledge and TRIZ management contents, the foresee conflicts in execution phase are discussed and resolved in planning phase by cross-function team under global strategy. The more definitions and detail in planning phase are considered, the less uncertainty, possibility of failure, and frequent changes will be resulted in. The results show that TRIZ is able to provide quick, effective, and new alternatives in planning phase for avoiding conflicts in execution phase according to 39 TRIZ management parameters, 40 innovative principles, contradiction matrix. In this manner, the knowledge for achieve successful project management can be saved to accelerate next project in competitive smart-phone market.

As people age, the functions of the body will gradually deteriorate, especially in the knee and hip joints, which will also limit the mobility of the body. If people need to bend over when they put on or take off their shoes, it will be especially difficult for the elderly, as they may even have the possibility of falling and being hurt. This study conducted deep interviews to observe ways that seniors put on and take off their shoes in or-der to discover any inconveniences and to understand the needs of elderly people for the innovative product. Based on the results of the interview experiment and the anthropometric data base, this study conducted a preliminary product design. Then the 39 engineering parameters and contradictory matrix of TRIZ theory were applied to get the innovation principles and to improve the problem of design. This study used SolidWorks drawing software to complete the product 3D drawing of the design results, and finally printed the product model using a 3D printer. The main function of the product is to allow users to put on and take off shoes without having to bend down or bend the knees. Besides that, when the shoes are taken off, the pedometer attached to the shoe sole will transmit data through the RFID and display the accumulated walking steps of the user on the LED panel. Meanwhile, the LED light bar will emit different colors according to the number of steps recorded by the pedometer chip, making the product more interesting and encouraging for older people to plan daily exercise to enhance their health.

Dentistry in recent years has developed interest in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR) and Patents due to extensive research in the fraternity and existing competition. There have been various patent applications and grants in the field of dentistry abroad due to better understanding of IPR but India still has very few patent grants and applications on the subject matter. This review article in particular deals with the understanding of IPR and Patents as a whole, especially for dental professionals involved in research and development. Hence, this would also act as an asset for dental researchers to explore and expand their scope of activities, with special privileges empowered for their work.

Successful pharmaceutical products are typically protected by a number of patents (as well, potentially as other intellectual property) directed toward specific aspects. Frequently, a product is initially patented in the form in which it was originally launched but then later modifications and improvements are also the subject of further patent applications. As readers will undoubtedly appreciate, prosecution of patent applications (whether for a new chemical entity or, as here, secondary applications of a drug) can take years to reach grant or rejection. Even then, European Opposition or US inter partes review proceedings may be brought, thereby extending the uncertainty as to the final form of claims. In consequence, potential producers of related products face a nearly impossible task in attempting to determine whether their own version will or will not infringe some yet-to-be examined application. Launching a product carries the uncomfortable risk that amendments to the claims of a pending application may result in the new product infringing.

The academic literature provides many models of the innovation process, often based on the ‘innovation funnel’. Experience from earlier research has shown that these models struggle to explicitly define innovation as a process at the strategic level, or provide ways to measure innovation effectiveness. (Frobisher, 2010). To address this gap, a strategic model of innovation was developed based on the IDEF0 methodology. Modelling innovation as a hierarchical, standardised process, conforming to the strict discipline of IDEF0 resulted in an improved understanding of the innovation process and enabled more robust measurement of the company wide impact of innovation support activities, in this research case measuring the benefits of adopting TRIZ tools.Since the original work, this strategic model of innovation has been applied to diverse fields including FMCG, Automotive, Chemicals, City Planning and Sustainability. Learning from these experiences has informed refinements to the model such that it now provides a coherent, top-level understanding of innovation as a strategic process. The key takeaway is that innovation is more than the introduction of new products and services, it is more closely aligned to business strategy. It enables an understanding of the importance of intangibles especially in the outputs of the innovation process. It also addresses the contradictions inherent in embedding sustainability within business and in society more widely. This paper describes the model and its practical application in framing Systematic Innovation programmes including TRIZ and TrenDNA. An example is provided, asking the strategic question - is the world really transitioning to electric vehicles, and if so, when? Process engineering (PE) focuses on the design, operation, control and optimization of chemical, physical and biological processes and has applications in many industries. Process intensification (PI) is the key development approach in the modern process engineering. The theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) is today considered as the most comprehensive and systematically organized invention knowledge and creative thinking methodology. This paper analyses the opportunities of TRIZ application in PE and especially in combination with PI. In this context the paper outlines the major challenges for TRIZ application in PE, conceptualizes a possible TRIZ-based approach for process intensification and problem solving in PE, and defines the corresponding research agenda. It also presents the results of the original empirical innovation research in the field of solid handling in the ceramic industry, demonstrates a method for identification and prediction of contradictions and introduces the concept of the probability of contradiction occurrence. Additionally, it describes a technique of process mapping that is based on the function and multi-screen analysis of the processes. This technique is illustrated by a case study dealing with granulation process. The research work presented in this paper is a part of the European project “Intensified by Design® platform for the intensification of processes involving solids handling”.

New wall materials alleviate the problems of high energy consumption and heavy pollution in the production process through the forms of new natural raw materials, energy conservation, land conservation, waste utilization, etc.. In this paper, design of new building wall materials is achieved through the integrated innovation method of Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Technical contradictions and physical contradictions in various stages of product design and production are resolved from the perspectives of user survey, R & D design, manufacturing, marketing. According to the different advantages of TRIZ, TAM and QFD in various stages of product, new wall material products of Guizhou Long Life Forestry Group are used as an example, with the integrated innovation method, the company’s new wall materials products are designed, and green, environmental, economical series wall materials products are designed and marketed in China. In recent years, TRIZ have been developed rapidly and known as a useful tool to solve the contradictions on engineering problems. The aim of this research is to map R.O.C patents into TRIZ applications by using text mining technique for further innovative product concepts and solutions of conflicts. First of all, using on-line auto-tag system provided by Academia Sinica to break every sentence in a document into several keywords and label these keywords manually. Calculating text frequency (TF) and inverse document frequency (IDF) in the corresponding document. Secondly, chi-square statistics and correlation coefficient approaches are used to select and sort word features which are highly correlated to 40 TRIZ innovative principles. Then, calculating the TFIDF and weight-TFIDF values for selected words, these values are inputs for further classifiers such as support vector machine (SVM) and BPN. Finally, SVM and BPN are implemented to evaluate the performances of 1000 R.O.C patents mapping into 40 TRIZ innovative principles. Experimental results show that, by appropriate parameters setting, SVM and BPN are accurate classifiers for 26 innovative principles (around 96%). However, SVM and BPN perform moderately for other 14 innovative principles (around 55%). Even though, this research still significantly help R&D personnel to solve trade-off contradictions by fast searching the correlation between TRIZ and existing R.O.C patents, which could reduce time-consuming for creative thinking and time-spent for new product introduction.

Means of public health is a component in accelerating the improvement of public health degree. Hospitals as health facilities have a very strategic role in providing quality services in accordance with established standards and can reach the whole community. One installation that needs improvement is the quality of instalasai Hemodialysis. The number of patients is increasing every year must be accompanied by improvement of quality of service installation. Based on observations, there were some complaints of patients on hemodialysis installation services. This study intends to improve the quality of care in hemodialysis installations by crafting needs hemodialysis machine design using Kansei Engineering, as well as the application of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and TRIZ. Kansei Engineering is used to ensure that a service fulfills the desired emotional response. Subsequently used QFD to improve customer satisfaction by improving the quality of services installation hemodialysis. Results of QFD point to contradictions, namely repair and maintenance service of the machine with the alert medics and repair and maintenance of the machine with the cleanliness and comfort of installation. The results showed that the installation of Hemodialysis Patients in fact want a friendly atmosphere of doctors, nurses, and the reception clerk and the condition of hemodialysis machines and devices work properly.

Objective of the Study: This paper empirically investigates the reciprocal relationship and causality between patents and economic growth. Methodology/Approach: Utilizing the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) Panel Vector Autoregression (PVAR) and panel VAR-Granger Causality frameworks, the study concentrates on Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) economies where a high fraction of global innovative activities take place. Originality/Relevance: The relationship and causality between patents and economic growth are investigated and evaluated by distinguishing the former variable into patent applications and grants. Main Results: The findings from the GMM panel VAR approach indicate that patent applications and grants significantly affect economic growth, whereas economic activities do not influence patent-related variables. The estimations from the panel VAR-Granger approach confirm these findings by presenting a unidirectional causality from patent applications and grants to economic growth. The impulse-response functions (IRFs) exhibit parallel findings, and further checks validate the stability of the findings obtained. The outcomes of this study point out two crucial implications. First, the impacts of patent applications and grants affect economic growth similarly while the impact of patent grants lasts longer. Second, while patents cause higher economic activity, the latter does not induce innovative activity through patents in the OECD. Theoretical/Methodological Contributions: It would be useful to conduct separate analyses for a selected product, sector, or country by including research and development (R&D) expenditures for different periods, country groups, and analysis methods. Social/Management Contributions: Countries should prioritize the establishment of an effective patent management system that will increase the pace of innovation and the implementation of incentive policies for the development of high-value-added technology products.
