Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical application and therapeutic effect of Improved transperitoneal laparoscopic surgery in treating adrenal incidentalomas. Methods 65 cases were diagnosed as adrenal incidentalomas due to health examination or treatment of other than adrenal disease, including 28 males and 37 females, whose ages were between 24 and 71 years, with mean age of 55 years. Tumor diameter: 6 cm 3 cases. Improved transperitoneal laparoscopic surgery were performed in all patients. Results Post operation were finally diagnosed adrenocortical adenoma in 44 cases (non-functional adenoma 32 cases; primary aldosteronism 8 cases; Cushing syndrome 4 cases) 10 cases were adrenocortical nodular hyperplasia (primary aldosteronism 9 cases; bilateral nodular adrenal hyperplasia 1 case), 5 cases were pheochromocytoma, 2 cases of ganglioneuroma, adrenal myelolipoma is 3 cases, and adrenal cortical carcinoma in 1 case. Conclusions Improved transperitoneal laparoscopic surgery was a safe technology and its effect was reliable. Key words: Adrenal gland neoplasm; Adrenal incidentaloma; Laparoscopy
