Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application of antimicrobial drugs during the perioperative period of cataract surgery.To provide evidence for rational application of antimicrobial drugs during the perioperative period.Methods 205 cases(205 eyes) with cataract were observed in the study to analysis and evaluate indication of using drugs,types of drugs,time points and ways of giving medication.Results The antimicrobial drugs were used in all cases and the utilization rate of drugs was 100.0%.The indication of using and ways of giving antimicrobial drugs were rational in all cases.The types of drugs and time points of giving medication were not rational in some cases.Conclusion Rational application of antimicrobial drugs during the perioperative period of cataract surgery is essential for avoiding intraocular infection,which is also the effective method for eliminating antibiotic-resistant bacteria and dysbacteriosis.Meanwhile,the ophthalmic special health-care and aseptic procedure cannot be overlooked even if with the help of antimicrobial Key words: Period, perioperative; Cataract; Drug, antimicrobial
