Abstract

The ratification and implementation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies pose numerous challenges for WTO Members, especially developing ones. This article addresses key inquiries faced by WTO Members during the formulation of the agreement. It explores the primary shortcomings of the special and differential treatment regime and examines proposed solutions by WTO Members. Additionally, the article outlines specific considerations for Vietnam in the ratification and implementation of the agreement.
