Abstract

The authors study the effects of the temperature distribution in the press equipment on the crystallization, lattice structure, and microstructure of boron nitrides during their hot pressing. The calculation procedures use coefficients of the electrical and thermal conductivity of the nitrides. Structural phase transformations resulting in a wurtzite lattice are also analyzed.
