Abstract
A new 'academy' has been launched to train NHS leaders, including nurses, midwives and health visitors, in using new technology emerging under the national IT programme. You can find details at www.dh.gov.uk/PolicyAndGuidance/InformationTechnology/ NationalITProgramme/fs/en Work is under way to design a range of leadership support resources, including simulated health service environments such as hospital wards and GP surgeries with actors as patients, to introduce clinicians to the new systems.
