Abstract
The main difficulty in the designing of electrodialysis apparatus lies in the absence of analytical relationships for the definition of saline concentration and volume. The analysis of literature and experimentals permitted to find the connection between saline maximum concentration, electrolyte nature and fixed. ion concentration in membrane phase. The values of the electroosmotic permeability coefficient are given for the mentioned salts and membranes. The paper lists the results of the experiments on the desalination-concentration of spent regeneration solution from sodium-cationite filters. The experimental studies showed that electrodialysis apparatus can be widely used in closed loop recycle schemes of water desalination at the industrial enterprises.
