Abstract
Este artigo faz análise documental de uma das propostas da política cultural do Estado Novo para o teatro. O objetivo é perceber de que maneira o teatro de revista é mencionado nessas fontes. Propõe-se, assim, um estudo sobre teatro de revista alternativo à costumeira análise de textos e imagens revisteiras; não um estudo dos elementos da revista, mas de seu lugar num plano mais amplo: nas discussões institucionais acerca do teatro brasileiro.
