Abstract

The work describes the logical structure and contents of database tables for identification of soil profile taxonomy in accordance with the classification of 1977 [6]. For this purpose, a special program interface is built. Soil profile data are based on reference tables. The diagnostic formula is based on the combination of soil horizons. Identification keys are developed with allowance for landscape properties to determine the taxonomic characteristics of the soils of the southern taiga subzone. The advantages of the developed algorithms for soil mapping are shown. The potential of their application for soils of other natural zones is substantiated.
