Abstract

This article examines the extent to which talent management can contribute towards creating a performance work environment (PWE) that can enhance sustainable talent identifi cation and development in the public service. The literature analysis results reveal that talent management is essential in creating a PWE in the public service. Talent management allows talented people equal access to the institution’s decisionmaking processes and also allows the public service to benefi t from the expertise that will improve its effectiveness, which will in turn enhance service delivery
