Abstract

With the introduction of the Internet of Things and cyber physical systems, companies have to deal with an increasing amount of data and information systems to process the data. In this context, the dependencies and relationships between different information systems should be transparent to support business processes. Typical Enterprise Architecture Management methods deal with dependencies between processes, data, applications, and infrastructure to increase transparency. This paper follows the design science paradigm to deliver an approach for tailoring IT-Architectures for manufacturing companies by analyzing and modelling the company-specific information demand using established Enterprise Architecture Management approaches and modelling languages.
