Abstract

There seem to be no complete lists giving irreducible polynomials for prime moduli. Dickson' gives an irreducible polynomial for each degree within certain limits for the moduli 2, 3, 5, 7, 11. Arnoux2 lists the decomposition of all polynomials of degree less than or equal to three for the modulus 5. More complete and more systematic lists do not seem to exist.
