Abstract

This paper is concerned with selected aspects of the problem of automating industrial technologies in the light of integrated principles of general systems theory. The ultimate objective of the approach that will be described is to identify a sound systems design algorithm to be applied to a part of an automated industrial complex consisting of an organizational and technological restructuring module and a flexible automated production module. Subsequently this may be extended to an integrated automated production complex. To ensure that this problem is considered in terms of fundamental concepts the possibility is considered of relying on an integrated conceptual basis (reflecting principles of dialectics) that is necessary and sufficient to provide adequate correspondence between real systems and the morphological and genetic features of the models that are employed.
