Abstract
ABSTRACTThis paper describes how we successfully applied the principles of systems engineering to the process of creating online documentation for an existing commercial software product. Using systems engineering principles, coupled with a commercial systems engineering tool, we were able to reduce the time to market for our online documentation system from five years to sixteen months, which translates into a 50% saving in personnel and a 60% saving in product delivery schedule.
