Abstract
The YBa 2Cu 4O y superconducting powder were synthesized by the ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic (EDTA) precursor solution method and 8-hydroxyquinoline-triethylamine coprecipitation. Pure 124 phase can be obtained through repeated heat treatment at 800°C in flowing oxygen. The effects of heat treatment temperature and sintering time were investigated.
