Abstract

Abstract In the syntheses of the title oligosaccharides, the glycosyl donors had non-participating groups, either benzyl, p-methoxybenzyl or azidodeoxy, in the 2-positions. Glycosylations with glycosyl bromides were performed using halide assistance or silver triflate promotion. Glycosidations using thioglycosides were performed with dimethyl(methylthio)sulfonium triflate as promoter.
