Abstract
1. By reaction of chlorides of hafnium and zirconium, and trimethylchlorosilane with cyclopentadienyl- and tert-butylcyclopentadienylthallium, there were obtained bis-(cyclopentadienyl)hafnium dichloride, bis-(cyclopentadienyl)zirconium dichloride, bis-(tert-butylcyclopentadienyl)zirconium dichloride, and cyclopentadienyltrimethylsilicon, respectively. 2. bis-(tert-Butylcyclopentadienyl) zirconium dichloride and tert-butylcyclopentadienyl trimethylsilicon were produced by reacting zirconium tetrachloride and trimethylchlorosilane with tert-butylcyclopenta- dienylsodium.
