Abstract
Alternative routes to arylazo coumarin derivatives from 4-diethylaminosalic-aldehyde are reported. A new series of styryl and azostyryl derivatives from 4-diethylamino-2-methoxybenzaldehyde is also reported. These derivatives were studied for their application properties on polyester and their fastness properties were evaluated. The visible absorption-emission characteristics of the compounds were studied.
