Abstract

Triphenylantimony bis(acetophenoneoximate) was synthesized by the reaction of triphenylantimony with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of acetophenone oxime (taken in the molar ratio of 1 : 1 : 2) in ether. The structure of the obtained compound was determined by X-ray diffraction. The Sb atom has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination with the oxime groups in the axial positions. The Sb–C(Ph)eq bond lengths are 2.110(1)–2.113(1) A, and the Sb–O distances are 2.058(1) and 2.067(1) A. The intramolecular Sb(1)···N(1, 2) contacts and O(1)SbO(2) axial angle are 2.990(1), 2.916(1) A and 172.49(4)°, respectively.
