Abstract

Abstract The craving to solve the lingering energy crisis through the use of eco-friendly energy options has re-enacted research interest towards plant extracts as the future technological device for electronics and energy industries. In this research, aluminum coated Carica papaya leave extract was synthesized using ethanol (sample 1), methanol (sample 2) and butanol (sample 3) solution as the extracting liquid. The analysis was carried out using ultraviolet visible spectrometry to analyze the absorbance of the synthesized Carica papaya extract. The bandgap of sample 1, sample 2 and sample 3 are 1.75eV, 2.22eV and 2.0 eV respectively. It was observed that all the samples had their different unique qualities.
