Abstract

Chaos synchronization of uncertain unified chaotic systems with dead-zone nonlinear input is studied. By using the sliding mode control technique and Lyapunov stability theory, two proportional-integral (PI) switching surfaces are proposed to ensure the stability of the closed-loop error system in sliding mode. Then two sliding mode controllers are proposed to guarantee the reaching of the switching surfaces though the error system is uncertain and the control input contains dead-zone nonlinearity. Simulation results show that the proposed synchronization scheme is effective and feasible.
