This article examines the relevance of sustainable development management in logistics. In today’s world, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects are key to ensuring the long-term efficiency and stability of logistics systems. The main goal of the study is to compare sustainable development principles in logistics based on foreign and domestic experience, identify their advantages and disadvantages, and propose ways to effectively apply them in Kazakhstan. The scientific significance lies in presenting an integrated approach to ESG implementation by analyzing logistics systems from a sustainability perspective. The research contributes both theoretically and practically to the intersection of logistics and sustainable development. Foreign companies such as Amazon and Toyota effectively apply logistics sustainability through carbon reduction, “green” transport, automation, and “Lean logistics.” In Kazakhstan, ESG implementation is still emerging. According to PwC, some large companies and government agencies achieve positive results by following environmental standards, saving energy, and adopting digital solutions. The article emphasizes the importance of adapting foreign experience to improve the domestic logistics system and demonstrates Kazakhstan’s contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The value of the research lies in showing how international experience can be adapted to Kazakhstan’s economic and infrastructural context. The results have practical significance for logistics companies, government agencies, and experts in strategic planning, ESG reporting, environmental efficiency, and international standard adaptation.

The paper deals with the study and investigation of various theoretical approaches to the interpretation of “management” and “sustainable development” concepts, as well as the features of the sustainable development formation concept. It deals with the diversity of views concerning the sustainable development concept in terms of commercial enterprise. The importance of concept implementation is explained by the possibility of balancing the sustainability of all activity components, which provides the growth of socio-economic indicators while preserving the environment and natural resources. The purpose of the investigation is the theoretical substantiation of rationale of the meaning of enterprise sustainable development management concept and the principles of its provision. In the investigation process the following complex methodological approach are applied: theoretical generalization, synergetic, abstract-logical and graphical methods for more synthesized image of the investigated object. The main approaches for determining the enterprise sustainable development are studied and clarified. Emphasis is placed on the expediency of the integrated approach for ensuring the concept of sustainable development management as that one which takes into account the features of all components development and provides an overall assessment of the enterprise sustainability subsystems. The characteristics of the group of stability indicators are defined in this paper. Their definition makes it possible to carry out the detail analysis of activity aspects. Directions for the improvement of the organization conditions due to the implementation of sustainable development management concept are formulated. The importance of the chosen problem is caused by permanent search for effective management mechanisms focusing the management activity on current problems and factors of changing environment negatively affecting the enterprise sustainability. This means that the shifts in enterprise sustainable management provide the opportunity to implement an integrated management policy by required changes resulting in the optimization of business processes, the increase of the level of transparency in operation and the compliance with the principles of sustainable development while preserving the environment.

The present scientific approach is based on the premise that an interdisciplinary approach in research allows us to solve more complex problems and to create a bridge between fields of knowledge in order to reach relevant solutions. In this context, as a general line of achievement, the proposed study aims to identify a management solution for implementing organizational change. The conceptual paradigm related to the link between sustainable development management and organizational culture is also incorporated, with a focus on the dimensions of sustainable development. The authors’ collective understanding of organizational culture, part of the organizational management system, and sustainable development management, as a cross-cutting approach, is the object of a study applied to the Romanian higher education environment, considered a catalyst for change with an impact on society as a whole. The specific objective of the study is to analyse the relationships between organizational culture and sustainable development management, aiding some stakeholders to identify solutions for increasing performance in the implementation of sustainable development management in Romanian universities. It is intended to contribute to internalizing the idea of a higher value of organizational culture as an internal barometer of an organization, an imprint of values, beliefs, rules and norms, which is why the study also takes into account the investigation of the role of culture in the diagnosis of organizational sustainability, and finally, the contribution of the culture vector to the implementation of changes is highlighted. Achieving goals in the field of sustainable development involves changing mindsets that shape human behaviour. The analysis of the university environment aimed precisely at investigating its relationship with ecological and sustainability issues and identifying ways to improve these practices. In order to achieve these research goals, a methodological framework centred on two pillars was used: a brief bibliometric research accompanied by a critical analysis of the literature and questionnaire-based research. The first pillar resolves the conceptual issues that underpin the study and the second provides an insight into the main characteristics of the organizational culture that can influence sustainable development in Romanian universities.

Introduction. The article explores the possibilities of integrating benchmarking into the sustainable development management system of economic systems at various levels — from national policy to the operations of individual enterprises. Goal. The purpose of the study is the theoretical and methodological substantiation and development of approaches to integrating benchmarking into the sustainable development management system of economic systems at the macro, meso, and micro levels, taking into account the specific features of the functioning of the state, regions, sectors, and enterprises under globalization challenges and the transformation of reporting standards. To achieve this goal, the following objectives were set: to characterize current global and local sustainable development challenges and their impact on economic systems; to analyze the role and current state of benchmarking application in sustainable development management at different levels of the economic system (national, regional, corporate); to identify key structural and functional issues hindering the effective integration of benchmarking into management processes; to develop a multi-level integration model of benchmarking that includes indicator alignment, feedback mechanisms, and adaptation of global standards to the local context. Research methods. The study employed methods of system, comparative and structural-functional analysis, generalization, as well as elements of graphical modeling to build a multi-level management scheme. An interdisciplinary approach was used, combining elements of strategic management, sustainable development, and institutional analysis. The results. Within the research, a model for integrating benchmarking into sustainable development management at the macro, meso, and micro levels was developed. Typical indicators, data sources, and benchmarking tools for each level of the economic system were identified. The study analyzed the main barriers to benchmarking implementation in Ukraine, such as lack of coordination between management levels, formalization of indicators, and low level of adaptation of global standards. Principles of interlevel integration were proposed, and a management cycle was outlined that allows benchmarking to function as a continuous mechanism for improving strategies and operational activities. The functional role of benchmarking at each level was clarified – from the formation of national policies to the optimization of business processes at the enterprise level. Conclusions. The integration of benchmarking into sustainable development management provides not only the ability to perform comparative analysis but also serves as a mechanism for adapting best practices, thereby increasing the efficiency of strategic management. The proposed model enables the alignment of international standards with local conditions through vertical and horizontal coordination of actions. Its practical implementation can contribute to the development of a sustainable development culture, improved transparency, competitiveness, and resilience of Ukraine's economic systems under current challenges. Keywords: benchmarking, sustainable development, strategy, management levels, conceptual model, tools.

Updates of the global concept of sustainable development and the spread of its principles among business organizations have led to the need for changes in management systems. The management's response to the trends of increasing business sustainability manifested itself in the practice of social responsibility, which has become widespread among the world's leading companies. The research is dedicated to studying modern formats of the manifestation of socially responsible management based on implementing social values of sustainable development in practical activities. The key differences between different forms of social responsibility of business are analyzed. Among such forms, the following were highlighted: corporate social responsibility (CSR), socially responsible business (SRB), three-sector partnerships (TSP), and charitable corporations. The system of values that become decisive for constructing sustainable management systems at the enterprise is defined. The following are separated among such values: economic, ecological, and moral values. It was determined that their totality should become the basis for making sustainable management decisions for the organization. Management based on sustainable development is proposed to be considered from the standpoint of a systematic, structured approach to the integration of social, economic, and ethical values of the existence and development of the company in the process of making managerial decisions to ensure the long-term viability and social responsibility of business. The research identifies key features of sustainable management, including risk management tools, the ability to maximize long-term value, a blend of financial and non-financial goals, and a high level of corporate management culture. It also studies the main characteristics of sustainable development management within the context of value chain creation, such as purchasing and supply sources, logistics and transport management, increased business transparency and openness, and enhanced data analytics and performance monitoring. The study also examines current international standards of business social responsibility and proposes a phased approach to management decision-making that supports the processes of sustainable business development. The research highlights the significant benefits of management based on the principles of sustainable development, including risk optimization, branding, and compliance with sustainable development standards.

This study assesses the bibliometric analysis of sustainable waqf development that highlights new topics and provides insightful commentary for the waqf’s strategic growth and ongoing research. This work uses bibliometric analysis to count the number of studies that have been carried out in this domain and determine whether they have advanced knowledge on sustainable waqf development. The study specifically highlights the depth to which academics have investigated these relationships and maps to arrive at a conceptual framework of the area being studied. Bibliometric analysis within 30 years of a publication generally arises in three main areas, namely waqf fundamentals, analysis of cash waqf, as well as studies on the numerous waqf uses in Islamic social finance. Whereas analysis within 107 years shows publications concerning waqf increased after the year 2010, from 2017 onwards, despite the rising number of total publications, total citations decreased. Thus, this study focuses on the current ten years from 2011–2020 and dissects 281 papers to study the dynamic topic for current mass research. Three main areas are highlighted in the early study, namely, sustainable development, regional planning, and information management. At the end of the study, the findings show the state of development and the top trends in influence, as well as the major journals, articles, subjects, authors, and countries. Both scholars and practitioners can benefit from the analysis and graphical presentations since they will be able to better grasp the state of the art of waqf in the experiential and current digital eras.

Against the backdrop of increasingly interconnected environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges, enterprises must formulate sustainable strategies to achieve synergistic development among economic performance, social responsibility, and ecological conservation. As a core organizational resource, human resources serves as a critical enabler for fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) and driving sustainable development. Whether enterprises can enhance the contribution of human resources to the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development is an important issue that currently needs to be studied in the field of human resource management. Therefore, this research follows the grounded theory method, integrates CSR and sustainable development theories, and uses systematic thinking to deeply explore the concept and structure of sustainable human resource management systems, and it develops relevant scales and combines exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis methods to revise and validate the scales. The research results show that the sustainable human resource management system is a multidimensional concept, including the following: employee rights protection, employee training and development, employee occupational health, employee relations management, and sustainable development management; its measurement scale contains five factors, with a total of 20 items. The results of factor analysis indicate that the reliability and validity tests of the developed scale have reached an ideal level. The research results enrich the concept and connotation of sustainable human resource management systems, and the development of the sustainable human resource management systems scale aims to promote the extension of the field of sustainable human resource management systems from theoretical exploration to empirical analysis research, providing a theoretical basis for Chinese enterprises to achieve sustainable development goals.

Recent interest in sustainable forest management planning in the Yukon has coincided with growing public awareness of climate change, providing an opportunity to explore how forestry plans are incorporating climate change. In this paper, the Strategic Forest Management Plans for the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations Traditional Territory (CATT) and the Teslin Tlingit Traditional Territory (TTTT) are examined for evidence of adaptation to climate change. For each plan, management policies and practices that are also recognized as ways to adapt to climate change are identified to provide information on the incremental costs and benefits of additional adaptation efforts. A typology for classifying sustainable forest management plans according to how they address climate change is proposed and applied to the CATT and TTTT plans. This typology, which may be useful to any future retrospective assessments on how successful these or other sustainable forest management plans have been in addressing and managing the risks posed by climate change, consists of a matrix that categorizes plans into one of four types; (1) proactive-direct, (2) proactive-indirect, (3) reactive-direct, and (4) reactive-indirect. Neither of the plans available for the southern Yukon explicitly identifies climate change vulnerabilities and actions that will be taken to reduce those vulnerabilities and manage risks. However, both plans have incorporated some examples of ‘best management practices’ for sustainable forest management that are also consistent with appropriate climate adaptation responses. Even in a jurisdiction facing rapid ecological changes driven by climate change, where there is a relatively high level of awareness of climate change and its implications, forestry planning processes have yet to grapple directly with the risks that climate change may pose to the ability of forest managers to achieve the stated goals and objectives of sustainable forest management plans.
