Abstract
Charitable giving by affluent Americans has gone up by almost 50% since 2017, new research shows. The average affluent American gave $43,195 to charity in 2020 compared with $29,269 in 2017, according to the 2021 Bank of America Study of Philanthropy: Charitable Giving by Affluent Households.
