Abstract

The 2002 Survey of Business Owners is part of the Economic Census, conducted every five years for years ending in 2 and 7. Statistics describe the characteristics of U.S. businesses by ownership category (i.e., by gender, Hispanic or Latino origin, and race of principal owners for both employer and non-employer businesses). Data are presented for detailed industries and geographies, and by size of firm (receipts and employment information).
