Abstract

Impact of iron chalcogenides in industries received enormous attention due to its most important features such as physical, chemical and magnetic properties. This work focused the film thickness, structure, surface morphology, composition, and optical properties of Iron Selenide thin films deposited on Fluorine doped tin oxide coated conducting glass substrates. The technique of simple, low cost and low temperature electrodeposition has been utilized to deposit the films. Structural features reported that the deposited films possess polycrystalline nature with hexagonal structure. Film composition with surface morphology showed that the deposited films have well defined morphology with stoichiometry. Optical properties showed that the deposited films have band gap value around 1.23 eV.
