Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a platform for the purposeful delivery of osteogenic factors and drugs in cases of damage to bone tissue. A method for efficient modification of the surface of ceramic granules has been developed for further impregnation and subsequent sustained release of the drug from the ceramic carrier. Functionalization of octacalcium phosphate in combination with biomimetic deposition of resorbed phases of calcium phosphate from model liquids is proposed. In this work, we evaluated the possibility of creating a biomimetic surface on calcium phosphate granules, the physicochemical characteristics of such structures, and the effect of the conditions of obtaining on the structure and chemical composition of the coatings.
