Abstract

The grade the student intends to earn in the course and the student’s prior Information Technology (IT) skill level lend significant support to student performance in the Management Information Systems (MIS) course but prior mastering of business statistics does not. The number of work hours, job type, and course load do not have any significant negative effect on student performance. Lastly, the grades in Financial and Managerial accounting courses and overall GPA are strong predictors of student performance in the MIS course.
