Abstract

Superconductivity in a small metallic particle means that pairing of electrons has to be included in the treatment of size-dependent properties. Here a model is reconsidered which applies to the small-size limit of conventional superconductors with a large intrinsic range of the pair coherence length. Mainly thermal equilibrium properties are discussed, but also some remarks about related phenomena and remaining problems are made.
