Abstract
We report on the upper critical field in (BEDT-TFF) 2Cu(NCS) 2. This salt has Tc higher than 10 K. The temperature dependence of the parallel and perpendicular critical field has been already reported. The temperature dependence of the perpendicular critical field is anomalous. It clearly deviates from the linear temperature dependence to higher field in contradict to the behavior expected from the GL theory. This behavior is related to the anomalous NMR relaxation behavior reported by Takahashi et al. The anomalous behavior of the critical field can be ascribed to the phase transition of the system at the temperature corresponding to the NMR relaxation anomaly. This interpretation is in consistent with the preliminary result of specific heat by Katsumoto et al.. The origin of this behavior is discussed.
