Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the impact of Stand-Up Paddleboarding(SUP) activities on the natural environment and the psychological well-being of adolescents, with the goal of enhancing awareness and conditions related to marine environments and expanding the scope of adolescent SUP activities. From June 5th to August 7th, 2023, a total of 188 adolescents ranging from 2nd year of middle school to 2nd year of high school residing in the Seoul area participated in SUP activities. Both online and offline surveys were conducted. Frequency analysis and correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 28.0 for a total of 188 valid samples. Additionally, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted using AMOS 28.0 and a structural equation model was applied. The results were as follows: First, participation in SUP activities showed a positive impact on environmental improvement. Second, the improvement of the natural environment was found to significantly contribute to the psychological stability of the participating adolescents. Thirdly, participation in SUP activities was found to significantly contribute to the psychological stability of the participating adolescents.
