Abstract

Based on experiences with precise gravity measurements along the Fennoscandian Gravity Line, vertical gradient determinations and measurements on the German Gravity Base Net (DSGN 76), instrumental improvements have been made to reduce the influences of temperature effects, levelling and periodic errors. Investigations have been carried out to study the drift behaviour and the linearity of the La Coste Romberg gravity meters to be used for the observation of high precision gravity nets.
