Abstract

In this paper a framework proposal is presented for fault detection and isolation based on principal component analysis for sucker-rod pumping systems using bottom hole pressure and others measurements. The proposed algorithm uses signals frequency attributes to generate faults signatures. Hotelling's T2 index and the square prediction error are used to compare process online samples with signatures generated offline. The results were obtained using a sucker-rod pump simulated model.
