Abstract
Aorto-plasty was done with a left subclavian flap in the treatment of coarctation of the aorta in six cases.All of them associated with ventricular septal defect (VSD) and four also associated with patent ductus arteriosus(PDA).The VSD was closed at same time as the correction of the coarctation in three patients.One died of postoperative pulmonary hypertention on the third day.Survived patients were followed-up and their results were excellent.No obvious pressure gradient at the anastomosis was observed by 2-D Echo.One patient's VSD closed spontaneously.
