Abstract

This study is rooted in linguistics as it engages with Surat Al-Baqara as a case study, focusing on the semantic level and revealing its underlying structure up to the point of practical application. It commences with a comprehensive definition of Surat Maryam, an elucidation of the principles of style and stylistics, the theory of semantics, and the historical, emotional, and societal connotations of this venerable Surah. The investigation then transitions to the practical application. The research reviews various expressions that, upon initial examination, seem synonymous. However, upon closer exploration, the nuanced connotations and meanings inherent in each word emerge, differentiating them from other words that may superficially appear to convey identical meanings and connotations. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology in this process.
