Abstract
The study of the value orientations of young people is an important task within the sociology of culture, and this aspect becomes especially relevant in the modern world, where changes occur at incredible speed. This article presents the results of a sociological study, the purpose of which was to find key values of modern youth in Russia. The study was conducted using a survey method. The results showed that among the leading values of young people, family comes first. Young people view family as a source of support and stability. In second place is health, which indicates an awareness of the need to take care of one’s physical and mental state. In the modern world, where stress and anxiety have become common companions, attention to health is becoming increasingly important. Career occupies third position in the list of values, which reflects the desire of young people for self-realization and professional growth. A successful career can provide not only financial independence, but also the opportunity to realize your ambitions. The findings indicate that the values of modern Russian youth are shaped by various factors, including social, economic, and cultural changes. Understanding these values is essential not only for sociologists but also for educators, employers, and anyone engaging with young audiences. This knowledge can inform the development of projects aimed at supporting and empowering young people, thereby contributing to the creation of a more harmonious and sustainable society.
