Abstract
Amongst the applications of CFD that EDF has to deal with, a large number are related to high temperature and/or variable density flows : these applications are for example related to the design of new industrial processes using electricity (plasma flows, electric arcs, heating using Joule effect) or to electricity production (pulverised coal burners, gas turbine combustion chambers).
