Abstract
AbstractWe propose a subcarrier‐switching method for all‐optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (AO‐OFDM) system. In addition, analysis of the affected neighboring subcarriers, along with the subcarriers being added or dropped, is carried out in a comprehensive manner. After switching operation four times, target subcarrier can still have a Q value larger than 27, while Q value of neighboring orthogonal subcarriers exceeds 31 in AO‐OFDM system with 16 orthogonal subcarriers.
