Abstract

ABSTRACTThe classical rate formula of liquid flowing in the capillary was used to study the nano capillary phenomenon in the growth of polymer nanotubes. Two methods were used. The first was the direct measurement, the other was the visual experimental certification. Through the γ, θc, η, SEM measurement, the results shown the growth rate of capillary driven in nano-world was slower than macroscopic world growth rate by 103, it was not tally with the fact. It was because the used solvent was volatile solvent instead of non-volatile solvent. The great difference was deduced by the volatility of solvent. So the classical capillary rate formula do not apply to the nanotube growth process by Anodic Aluminum Oxide(AAO) template wetting.
