Abstract

Abstract Aiming at the fatigue crack failure of a spacer ring of an aero-engine, the fracture analysis and finite element analysis of the spacer ring failure were carried out, the cause of the failure was accurately located, and an improvement plan was proposed for the spacer ring according to the analysis results. The equivalent stress of the spacer ring has decreased significantly, and the improved spacer ring has passed the test verification of parts and the whole engine, which proves the effectiveness of the improvement. The method used in this paper can provide a reference for the design and improvement of similar structures in aeroengines.
