Abstract

Objective To study the efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine self-prescription combined with western medicine in the treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods 80 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The patients in the control group were treated with western medicine only, and the patients in the observation group were treated with Chinese medicine self-prescription combined with western medicine. Lung function index, dyspnea scale, 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) before and after treatment, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results There were statistically significant differences in lung function index, dyspnea score, 6MWD before and after treatment in the observation group (P 0.05). Conclusion The curative effect of Chinese medicine self-prescription combined with western medicine in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is better than that of western medicine treatment, there was no significant difference in the safety between the two groups, worthy of clinical promotion.
