Abstract

The corrosion fatigue properties of a novel high strength steel with duplex-phase of carbide-free bainite/martensite (CFB/M) were studied. Experimental results show that the resistance to corrosion fatigue and to delayed fracture is excellent only through tempering at 280°C or 370°C for air-cooled specimens after austenitizing.
