Abstract

The current research is based on the experimental analysis of strength and durability properties of concrete, when that modified concrete was made by partial replacement of Cement (by weight) with Silica Fume. From the past studies, it has been found that SF being a finer material possessing self-cementing properties helps for matrix densification, hence enhancing the mechanical as well as durability properties of concrete. Thus for the structural and durability requirements, it was decided to entertain steel fibers in conventional cement concrete at specific percentages. Mechanical properties like Compressive Strength, Split Tensile Strength, and Flexural Strength and Durability property like Water Absorption were tested for batches at specified of curing and the results were compared with those of control mixture.
