Abstract

The dependence of the emission anisotropy decay of dye fluorescence versus excitation wavelength was measured in order to study the relaxation of the vibrational energy excess. The results of these measurements allow the conclusion (in accordance with earlier findings) that the heat transfer in the solvent is a fast enough process not to influence Brownian rotations of dye molecules.
