Abstract

Magnetic properties of an antiferromagnet KCoF 3 having residual orbital moments are studied on the basis of the dynamical correlated effective field approximation developed by Suzuki. A value of the Neel temperature which shows excellent agreement with the experiment is obtained. The calculated parallel and perpendicular susceptibilities in the ordered phase and the calculated paramagnetic susceptibility are also in good agreement with the observed results with regard to both the magnitude and the temperature dependence.
